During November 2024, Mavit contributed to the tree-sitter/tree-sitter repository by updating documentation to reflect the integration of Tree-sitter as a built-in feature in Emacs 29. They focused on improving clarity for users transitioning to the new Emacs version by revising Markdown-based documentation and aligning ELisp references with the official Emacs manual. This work addressed onboarding challenges for new and existing users, ensuring that documentation accurately described the latest parsing capabilities. Mavit’s efforts centered on documentation skills and proficiency with Markdown, resulting in a targeted, well-scoped update that enhanced the project’s alignment with Emacs documentation standards.
