Nathan Hammond worked on the microsoft/component-detection repository, focusing on enhancing the RustSbom Detector by promoting it to experimental status. Using C# and leveraging skills in component detection and experimental feature management, Nathan implemented a minimal, low-risk change that updated the detector’s interface to IExperimentalDetector. This approach preserved all user-facing behavior while enabling controlled experimentation and rapid feedback for future RustSbom enhancements.
