Worked on enhancing test reliability and code quality for Featherless AI within the BerriAI/litellm repository. Focused on isolating environment variables in tests by migrating from patch.dict to pytest’s monkeypatch, resulting in more robust and idiomatic handling of environment-sensitive features. Utilized Python and Pytest to refactor the test suite, remove unused imports, and simplify test logic for improved readability and maintainability. These changes reduced test flakiness, stabilized continuous integration runs, and accelerated feedback cycles. The work strengthened confidence in the safety of environment-dependent code, supporting smoother release processes and enabling safer, faster iterations for the project’s development team.
