During December 2025, work on the 0xPlaygrounds/rig repository centered on developing a DeepSeek streaming calculator feature that enables arithmetic operations, such as addition and subtraction, within streaming workflows. This functionality was implemented using Rust, leveraging asynchronous programming and robust API integration to ensure smooth client-server interactions. The project also addressed API request content-type handling, reducing 415 errors and improving overall reliability. Code quality was maintained through adherence to Rust tooling standards, including automated formatting. These efforts enhanced the scalability and dependability of backend systems, laying the groundwork for broader DeepSeek automation and more consistent client experiences in production environments.
