Gkmo developed the initial System UX rendering infrastructure for the facebook/igl repository, establishing a rendering path using the Stellar framework on the Helix Server. Their approach included adding Facebook-only code annotations to support secure internal rollout and future extensibility. In addition to system architecture and C++ development, Gkmo focused on improving test reliability by fixing font loading issues in XOR-based screenshot tests and strengthening the file-loading mechanism within the UI test suite. This work reduced flaky failures and improved iteration speed on UI changes, demonstrating depth in debugging, testing, and cross-team collaboration over a focused two-month engineering period.
June 2025: Focused on stabilizing the UI test suite for the facebook/igl repository by fixing font loading during screenshot tests using XOR and tightening the file-loading mechanism for test scenarios. The change reduces flaky failures, increases test reliability, and accelerates iteration on UI changes.
