Jin Jin developed enhanced backend support for the gpu-mode/discord-cluster-manager repository, focusing on integrating Nvtriton and the TileIR backend within the Helion Dockerfile. By replacing the upstream Triton backend with TileIR and enabling the TileIR compiler by default, Jin improved both performance and compatibility for NVIDIA NVTRITON workflows. The technical approach involved validating the TileIR backend end-to-end on B200 hardware, ensuring kernel correctness and seamless activation. Using Docker and backend development skills, Jin also expanded the Helion test suite, achieving full pass rates under the new backend. This work laid the foundation for broader deployment and increased reliability.
