Worked on platform modernization and stability improvements across RedHatInsights/chrome-service-backend and RedHatInsights/quickstarts over a two-month period. Focused on upgrading the Go toolchain and dependencies, updating builder images to UBI 9, and simplifying dependency management using Go Modules and YAML configuration. Addressed compatibility and security by removing redundant directives and resolving ambiguous SQL column names, which improved database interaction reliability. Enhanced build engineering and CI/CD processes by fixing OpenAPI generation compilation errors, ensuring consistent builds and releases. The work emphasized maintainability and release readiness, delivering backend improvements without customer-visible feature changes, and leveraging Dockerfile, Go, and containerization best practices.
