During June 2025, G. Murthy developed OAuth-based authentication for the Server-Sent Events (SSE) client in the MichaelCade/mcp-go repository. He refactored HTTP client options to support SSE-specific OAuth integration, introducing new internal helpers to manage OAuth within the SSE transport layer. By updating the example SSE client, he demonstrated secure real-time communication using the new OAuth flow. This work, implemented in Go and focused on backend development and API integration, enhanced security for real-time data streams and established a foundation for enterprise-grade authentication. The depth of the changes reflects a thoughtful approach to both security and maintainability.
