Worked on the ComplianceAsCode/content repository to deliver a comprehensive Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) profile refresh for Ubuntu 24.04, upgrading the DISA XCCDF profile from V1R1 to V1R5. The update involved meticulous metadata revisions, removal of deprecated controls, severity realignment, and correction of typographical errors, all implemented using YAML and compliance engineering practices. Rule identifiers were renumbered to match DISA’s latest requirements, and a thorough verification process ensured zero discrepancies across 194 controls. This work enhanced audit readiness and automated compliance checks, streamlining maintenance and remediation for the Ubuntu 24.04 baseline through disciplined documentation and versioning.
