During February 2025, Gnaponie developed an automated dependency update configuration for the containers/ramalama repository. By introducing a renovate.json file, Gnaponie shifted the project’s dependency maintenance from manual pull requests to an automated workflow, reducing maintenance overhead and improving update consistency. The solution leveraged JSON for configuration and integrated with existing DevOps and Git workflows, enabling scalable and repeatable dependency management. This approach addressed previous manual processes, enhancing both security and stability by ensuring timely updates. While the work focused on a single feature, it demonstrated depth in automation and dependency management, laying a foundation for more efficient project maintenance.
