Worked on enhancing the aws/sagemaker-distribution repository by integrating the AWS Toolkit and Amazon Q Extension into the local development environment. Focused on extension development within Visual Studio Code, the work involved updating the AWS Toolkit code editor extensions to a newer version, which improved the overall developer experience for AWS services. By enabling Amazon Q extension tooling, the project allowed for faster feature exploration and iteration within SageMaker distribution workflows. The technical approach centered on leveraging AWS and extension development skills, with changes implemented in plaintext to streamline the development process and provide richer AWS service tooling for contributors.
