In March 2025, Gogopex developed a fish shell environment activation script for the tenstorrent/tt-forge-fe repository, expanding support for developers using alternative shells. The script mirrored the logic of the existing env/activate workflow but was carefully adapted for fish shell syntax and environment variable management. Using shell scripting and the Fish language, Gogopex ensured consistent environment setup, including PATH updates for tt-forge and ttmlir toolchains, and introduced a custom fish prompt to indicate the active environment. This work improved onboarding and reduced setup friction for fish users, aligning activation flows across shells and enhancing maintainability for future cross-shell parity.
