During June 2025, Gomes focused on improving repository hygiene and onboarding for the litebird/litebird_sim project. He reorganized example files by moving example_hwp_sys.ipynb into a dedicated notebooks directory and removed the obsolete script_non_linearity_coupling.py, clarifying the intended use of example assets. This work, implemented in Python and leveraging strong skills in code organization and file management, reduced maintenance overhead and aligned the repository structure with current project needs. By simplifying the layout, Gomes made it easier for new contributors to navigate the codebase, enhancing future maintainability. The changes addressed structural clarity rather than introducing new features or bug fixes.
