During May 2025, Gonchar Vell developed the Gauge Card Attribute Display feature for the home-assistant/frontend repository, enabling users to select and display any entity attribute within the Gauge Card. He refactored the handling of non-numeric attributes to create reusable logic across multiple card types, allowing for broader and more flexible data visualization beyond primary entity states. This work, implemented using JavaScript and TypeScript with a focus on frontend and UI development, improved dashboard flexibility and maintainability by reducing code duplication. The feature addressed the need for richer, attribute-based visualizations, though no major bugs were fixed during this period.
