Gonzalo Areal developed foundational donor and grant user interface enhancements for the UTDallasEPICS/Kids-U-Donor-Volunteer-Database repository, focusing on improving navigation and frontend iteration. He built a new Grantor Details page and refactored the existing Grants page to route seamlessly to this new view, streamlining user flows between donor and grant records. To support rapid frontend development and UI validation, Gonzalo introduced mock grantor data, allowing for testing without backend dependencies. His work leveraged JavaScript, TypeScript, and React within a Next.js framework. Over the month, Gonzalo delivered one feature with a focus on maintainable, testable frontend architecture and user experience.
