Worked on enhancing storage integration within the Lightning-AI/litData repository, focusing on backend development and cloud storage reliability. Addressed a targeted bug by updating the S3Client to respect user-provided storage options in the Studio environment, rather than defaulting to shared credentials. This change, implemented in Python and leveraging AWS S3, improved configurability and transparency for users managing their own credentials. The solution reduced the risk of misconfiguration and minimized potential support issues related to credential handling. The work was delivered with a minimal code footprint and clear traceability, aligning with business goals to streamline user experience and operational support.
