The project involved migrating the integration to version 2 of the DuckDuckGo API, updating import paths and API instantiation to align with the latest standards. Emphasized backward compatibility and minimal code surface area to ensure a smooth transition and maintainability. Utilized Go for implementation, applying skills in API integration and dependency management. The work laid a foundation for future enhancements, reduced migration risks, and improved the stability of the tool without introducing major changes or fixing existing bugs.
