Worked on stabilizing and enhancing the Git Panel experience in the zed-industries/zed repository, focusing on resolving a persistent UX issue where file selection became stale after commits. Addressed this by updating the selection logic to default to the last visible entry when the selection index was out of bounds, ensuring selections remained visible as the file list changed. Utilized Rust for backend logic and applied UI development skills to maintain consistency across Flat and Tree views. The solution was co-authored and thoroughly reviewed, directly reducing user friction in daily Git workflows and aligning with established UX and reliability guidelines.
