Worked on expanding OpenWrt’s hardware support by adding Yuncore 1200F outdoor access point compatibility in the namiltd/openwrt repository. Focused on embedded systems and firmware development, the work involved integrating the MT7628AN SoC and MT7663E radio, configuring network interfaces, and ensuring stable operation across LAN, WAN, and dual-band wireless. Developed and validated a sysupgrade image, confirming reliable upgrade and recovery paths. All changes were implemented in C and Makefile, with thorough documentation provided for installation and recovery. This contribution extended OpenWrt’s deployment capabilities to new outdoor hardware, supporting maintainability and robust field operation without introducing new bugs.
