Developed an internal livestream alert system for HashiConf Day 1 within the hashicorp/dev-portal repository, focusing on event-driven feature delivery and controlled rollout. The implementation used JavaScript and Git workflows to introduce a time-based DO NOT MERGE gate, ensuring the alert would only be released at the designated event start. This approach minimized the risk of premature notifications and improved release governance for high-visibility events. The work included clear commit messaging and documentation practices, establishing patterns for future event-driven features. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature development and cross-team coordination for event readiness.
