In September 2025, Gabor Toth developed a stereographic geophysical data visualization feature for the SWMFsoftware/share repository, focusing on enhancing scientific plotting capabilities for geophysical datasets. He implemented the plot_map function in IDL, enabling users to generate stereographic plots with configurable levels, continent outlines, and grid lines, which supports more effective data interpretation and collaboration among geophysical analysis teams. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of data visualization and scientific plotting, with attention to code quality and usability. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature over one month, it addressed a clear need for flexible geospatial data representation tools.
