During May 2025, Guilherme Bassa refactored the Gusto integration within the NangoHQ/integration-templates repository to support comprehensive employee lifecycle management. He implemented new create, update, and terminate actions for employees, aligning the integration with modern employee management needs. Using TypeScript and YAML, Guilherme introduced updated schema and type definitions to ensure API consistency and improve maintainability. He also renamed existing actions and revised documentation to reflect employee-centric terminology, streamlining onboarding and offboarding flows. This work established a more robust foundation for future migrations and developer experience, demonstrating depth in API integration and full stack development within a production environment.
