Worked on enhancing the mui/base-ui repository by developing a new useFilteredItems hook for Autocomplete and Combobox components. This feature enabled direct access to filtered items within the component context, streamlining item retrieval and improving both efficiency and user experience. The technical approach focused on leveraging React hooks and context to create a scalable solution that supports performance and usability. The work was implemented using JavaScript and TypeScript, with an emphasis on front end development best practices. No major bugs were addressed during this period, and the primary contribution centered on advancing component design for better developer ergonomics and maintainability.
