Guo Zhihao developed a fast, deterministic 32-bit Murmur3 hashing module for the arana-db/kiwi repository, focusing on enhancing data integrity and indexing performance within the storage layer. Working in Rust, Guo implemented the core hashing logic and designed comprehensive unit tests to verify correctness across a variety of inputs and seeds. This work leveraged expertise in data structures and hashing algorithms, ensuring the module’s reliability and scalability for future storage features. Although no major bugs were fixed during this period, Guo addressed minor issues as needed, demonstrating a methodical approach to software development and a strong emphasis on code quality.
