R. Gururaaja developed a WiFi settings persistence feature for the rdkcentral/meta-rdk-video repository, addressing the challenge of maintaining network connectivity during RDKE to RDKV migrations. Using CMake and Python within embedded systems, he integrated with MfrMgr and the NetworkManager Plugin to ensure WiFi credentials are saved when a network connection succeeds and cleared when removeKnownSSID is called. This approach preserved user configurations through the CDL upgrade path, reducing migration friction and minimizing post-migration support needs. By cherry-picking the change into the release branch, he enhanced production readiness and established a foundation for stable network management in future migrations.
