Worked on the ComplianceAsCode/content repository to enhance the reliability and compliance correctness of system account validation. Focused on debugging and resolving a parsing issue in Bash and XML that affected the recognition of valid shell paths for unlocked users in /etc/passwd. The solution involved refining shell parsing logic to align with the valid-shell list, reducing the risk of misclassification during compliance checks. Demonstrated skills in Linux system administration, shell scripting, and patch verification while maintaining clear commit hygiene and linking changes to tracked issues. This work improved the accuracy of compliance audits and streamlined the review and audit process.
