Worked on the samvera/hyrax repository to deliver an accessibility enhancement for the image viewer component, focusing on improving usability for visually impaired users. The solution involved adding a descriptive title attribute to the iframe element, aligning the interface with WCAG accessibility guidelines and enhancing screen reader support. This targeted front end change was implemented using HTML and accessibility best practices, resulting in a concise UI refactor with minimal maintenance overhead. No bugs were addressed during this period, but the work demonstrated a careful approach to repository hygiene and maintainable code, reducing accessibility risk for a critical user interface feature.
