Addressed a critical issue where the desktop icon failed to appear by updating the installation script to include the necessary .desktop entry configuration. This solution ensured the application was properly registered and recognized by dash and window managers, enhancing the user onboarding process and launcher reliability. Utilized shell scripting and system configuration skills to validate the fix across common Linux distributions.
