Worked on the plone/plone.restapi repository to address a critical issue affecting search result accuracy. Focused on backend and API development using Python, the work involved removing hardcoded logic for handling inactive items in the search handler and instead deferring this responsibility to CMFPlone. This change ensured that inactive items in search results were evaluated according to the established CMFPlone behavior, improving data integrity and reducing confusion for users. The targeted bug fix enhanced code maintainability and traceability, aligning search functionality across repositories and minimizing integration risks for downstream consumers relying on consistent search behavior and backend logic.
