Worked on the kvcache-ai/sglang repository to enhance the robustness of the Completions API by addressing a critical issue that previously caused crashes when the logprobs parameter was set to false. Applied backend development and API development skills to implement input validation and graceful fallback logic, ensuring the endpoint no longer triggers a KeyError in these scenarios. Focused on improving reliability for downstream clients and supporting stable integrations. Utilized Python and unit testing to verify the fix, reducing the risk of incidents for consumers of the API. The work emphasized resilient backend design and careful handling of edge cases.
