Worked on the preset-io/superset repository to deliver encoding-aware data export improvements, focusing on enhancing CSV export functionality. Developed a feature that ensures CSV exports consistently respect the configured encoding settings, addressing interoperability issues and improving compatibility for various client applications. The technical approach involved refining data processing logic and stabilizing encoding propagation within the query_context_processor, so that CSV_EXPORT encoding is applied uniformly across exports. Utilized Python for API development and unit testing to validate the changes. This work reduced encoding-related support requests and contributed to a smoother user experience by making data exports more reliable and predictable for end users.
