Worked on the keycloak/keycloak repository to deliver a targeted performance and scalability enhancement for the authorization model. Addressed N+1 query issues in composite role expansion by implementing batched fetching of child roles and introducing a caching layer to store expanded role data, which reduced database round-trips during role tree traversal. Updated the role provider interface to support efficient bulk retrieval, improving response times for large role trees. Collaborated closely with other contributors to ensure code quality and traceability. Utilized Java, Hibernate, and Infinispan to optimize backend processes, demonstrating a focused approach to performance optimization within a complex authorization subsystem.
