Worked on the ogcio/govie-ds repository to enhance typography reliability and performance by implementing self-hosted Lato font loading within the React package. This approach, using CSS and JavaScript, reduced reliance on external CDNs and improved cross-platform consistency, ensuring that typography rendered reliably across different environments. A build styles script was introduced to further support compatibility and streamline deployment pipelines. The changes also improved offline availability, aligning typography delivery with repository standards and preparing the codebase for future font-related enhancements. The work focused on front end development, emphasizing maintainability and performance improvements through thoughtful integration of modern web technologies.
