Worked on the nuta312/fall24_coding_challenge repository to establish a modular foundation for future coding exercises using Java. Developed placeholder classes for upcoming challenges and introduced a utility to handle front-piece logic, focusing on maintainability and extensibility. The codebase was reorganized into dedicated sub-packages, improving code organization and supporting scalable delivery of new features. Emphasized clear documentation and commit messages to facilitate onboarding and traceability. Leveraged skills in algorithm implementation and Java development to create a consistent scaffolding, positioning the repository for rapid iteration and easier integration of additional challenges without introducing bugs or disrupting existing functionality.
