During November 2025, Zhang developed the Memorial Wall User Messages feature for the ModelEngine-Group/nexent repository, enabling users to post messages directly on the memorial wall and fostering greater community engagement. Zhang implemented backend support for creating and storing user-generated content, integrating Markdown for message formatting and ensuring seamless UI-backend collaboration. The work demonstrated skills in content management, backend feature development, and disciplined version control, as evidenced by a dedicated commit. While no major bugs were addressed during this period, the feature expanded the platform’s interactive capabilities and laid a foundation for increased user retention through enhanced engagement and content contribution.
