Harenil enhanced manifest management capabilities in the ankane/iceberg-go repository by developing builders for manifest entries and data files, as well as adding support for writing manifests and manifest lists. Using Go and leveraging the Builder Pattern, Harenil focused on improving metadata handling and scalability for large datasets, addressing the need for more robust data serialization and file I/O processes. The work deepened the library’s reliability and maintainability, laying a foundation for future metadata features and performance improvements. Over the course of the month, Harenil’s contributions reflected a focused, in-depth approach to API design and manifest tooling within the project.
