Developed the TruGen Avatar Plugin within the livekit/agents repository, enabling real-time avatar sessions for voice agents through seamless integration with the TruGen Avatar API. Focused on plugin development and AI integration, the work introduced new configuration surfaces and robust session lifecycle management to support dynamic avatar rendering and interactions. Leveraging Python and real-time communication technologies, the implementation emphasized maintainable code, comprehensive documentation, and effective cross-team collaboration. While no major bugs were addressed during this period, the project established a scalable foundation for future avatar features and enhanced agent engagement, accelerating the adoption of avatar-enabled workflows within the LiveKit platform.
