Hasb worked on the datahub-project/datahub repository, delivering a feature that introduced topic-based table mapping for the BigQuery Sink Connector. By implementing topics2TableMap support, Hasb enabled explicit per-topic configuration of target tables, allowing more precise data ingestion routing and improving governance. The solution leveraged Python, BigQuery, and Kafka, integrating seamlessly with existing data engineering workflows. This enhancement reduced manual configuration and minimized the risk of data misrouting, addressing a key operational challenge. Hasb collaborated closely with the datahub team to ensure compatibility with current infrastructure, and the work was completed with a focus on production readiness and maintainability.
