The approach involved implementing environment-variable gating, allowing users to opt into the new functionality via _SWIFTPM_EXPERIMENTAL_LINUX_XCFRAMEWORK while ensuring default behavior remained unchanged for others. Collaborated closely with team members to validate cross-platform compatibility and maintain consistency across identically patched environments. Focused on Linux development, package management, and Swift, the work accelerated experimentation with XCFramework deployment on Linux. This feature paved the way for broader adoption of library evolution on Linux, supporting business needs while maintaining stability and backward compatibility.
