During January 2025, work focused on enhancing the zalando/skipper repository by developing a new feature for OIDC claims integration. This involved designing and implementing the SetOIDCClaims API in Go, enabling third-party filters to inject OIDC claims and making these claims accessible through the oidcClaimsQuery filter. The approach centered on populating the oidcClaimsCacheKey within the context state bag, ensuring seamless claims assignment. Additionally, the grantFilter component was updated to utilize the new API for setting OIDC claims. The work demonstrated backend development and authentication expertise, contributing a targeted feature that improves extensibility for authentication workflows in Skipper.
