Worked on stabilizing the continuous integration test environment for the lattice/quda repository, focusing on resolving reliability issues that affected developer feedback and test consistency. Addressed a persistent bug by ensuring the CI test directory is reliably created and linked to /dev/shm on the first local node, which prevented failures related to missing directories or permissions. The solution involved implementing conditional directory creation, symlinking, and introducing a short sleep to mitigate race conditions during setup. Leveraged shell scripting and CI/CD best practices to enhance local CI reliability, reduce flaky tests, and streamline pull request validation, contributing to a more robust development workflow.
