Worked on stabilizing the Mail Chute UI in the coolstation/coolstation repository by addressing a crash scenario and enhancing state feedback for operators. The solution involved introducing NoTrunk and NoTag states to accurately represent the chute’s operational status, using DM and TypeScript to manage state and UI logic. The flush action was disabled when the chute entered unsafe or invalid modes, and explicit messaging was added to inform users why flushing was unavailable. This approach improved reliability in edge cases and provided clearer feedback, reflecting a focus on robust state management and user interface development within a game development context.
