Worked on the NixOS/hydra repository to enhance the reliability of local reproduction and cloning workflows. Addressed a bug in the reproduce locally script by updating job name references to use build.job as a string, which resolved issues with incorrect job name resolution. Improved the cloning process by adding a git fetch step to ensure orphaned commits are retrieved when branches move, preventing loss of relevant commit history. These changes, implemented using Shell scripting and Git, increased consistency between local, CI, and historical debugging scenarios. The work focused on version control best practices and robust script maintenance over the course of the month.
