During December 2024, Fernando Hernando focused on improving the reliability of grid-based visualizations in the mxcubeweb repository. He addressed a critical bug in the Grid Scan heatmap rendering, where incorrect data points were used for color calculation, leading to inaccurate visual output. By carefully analyzing the JavaScript codebase and applying front end development and UI development skills, Fernando corrected the logic to ensure the heatmaps now reflect accurate data. This work preserved data integrity and user trust in the application’s visualizations.
