Worked on the NousResearch/hermes-agent repository to enhance data integrity and reliability within gateway session records. Addressed a specific issue where the 'model' field in session records could remain NULL after agent runs, which impacted downstream analytics. Implemented a targeted bug fix using Python and SQL, leveraging COALESCE logic to backfill only NULL entries without overwriting existing data. This approach ensured that session data maintained accuracy while preserving historical values. The update to the session store improved the reliability of analytics derived from session records. Demonstrated skills in backend development, API integration, and database management throughout the month’s focused contribution.
