Worked on enhancing the documentation for the apache/iceberg repository, focusing on clarifying how metadata is used within manifest files to support query planning and data pruning. The contribution involved refining the wording and structure of the maintenance documentation, making it more accessible for users and aligning it with repository standards. Leveraged Markdown to improve readability and ensure technical accuracy, drawing on a strong understanding of Iceberg’s metadata flow. This work aimed to provide clearer guidance for both new and existing users, facilitating smoother onboarding and better comprehension of the system’s internals without introducing new features or addressing bug fixes.
