In July 2025, Hiks contributed to the Baeldung/sql-tutorials repository by improving the maintainability and clarity of the codebase through a targeted update to file naming conventions. Focusing on database management and leveraging SQL expertise, Hiks renamed a SQL file to correct a grammatical inconsistency, changing "distinct-count-for-multiple-column.sql" to "distinct-count-for-multiple-columns.sql." This adjustment preserved all existing logic while enhancing repository consistency and searchability for future contributors. The work demonstrated attention to detail and an understanding of best practices in code organization, supporting onboarding and future automation efforts without introducing new features or bug fixes during the period.
