Himphery developed a robust BiLSTM cross-validation training and evaluation pipeline for the Guardian repository at Gopher-Industries. Using Python, TensorFlow, and Keras, he implemented K-fold cross-validation with multi-fold training, integrating data preprocessing and architectural enhancements such as dropout and batch normalization to improve model generalization. The pipeline outputs fold-wise performance metrics, including loss and accuracy, enabling data-driven deployment decisions and supporting model ensembling. By consolidating these features into a reusable evaluation framework, Himphery enabled repeatable performance assessments and accelerated iteration cycles. The work demonstrated depth in deep learning engineering and addressed the need for reliable, scalable model evaluation processes.

April 2025 — Guardian (Gopher-Industries/Guardian): Implemented a robust BiLSTM cross-validation training and evaluation pipeline with K-fold CV, including data preprocessing, an improved architecture with dropout and batch normalization, multi-fold training, and presentation of fold-wise performance metrics (loss and accuracy). This work enables model ensembling and data-driven deployment decisions, improving reliability and predictive performance for Guardian. Major bugs fixed: none reported this period. Overall impact: increased model robustness, repeatable evaluation, and faster iteration cycles for deployment. Technologies/skills demonstrated: BiLSTM, K-fold cross-validation, data preprocessing, dropout, batch normalization, multi-fold training, and fold-wise performance reporting.
