During February 2025, Blieque modernized APT repository management for the Armbian project, focusing on the armbian/configng and armbian/build repositories. He migrated legacy APT source lists to the deb822 format and enforced HTTPS for all Armbian repositories, improving security and maintainability. Using shell scripting and system administration skills, he ensured backward compatibility by restoring support for legacy armbian.list files and refining regex logic to prevent accidental overwrites of third-party sources. Documentation was updated to guide future maintainers through the new workflow. This work streamlined package management, reduced misconfigurations, and enhanced repository safety across Armbian’s build and configuration systems.
