Worked on the moltbot/moltbot repository to enhance Slack integration reliability and security by implementing a fail-safe mechanism for mention detection. Addressed a critical bug by ensuring that messages requiring bot mentions are not processed when detection is unavailable, adopting a fail-closed approach. Coordinated app mention retry history to reduce missed or duplicate mentions and introduced safeguards to reject user-token identities, thereby strengthening authorization hygiene. Collaborated across teams to deliver these improvements using TypeScript, focusing on backend development, API integration, and testing. The work resulted in a more robust and secure automation experience for Slack channel interactions within the application.
